G.O.T & Everyday view (summer journal/photo a day)

Today we went to a very small local craft fair at Caldecott Park which is only a 5 minute walk from home. While there was only about 5 stalls (the weather made it a bit of a washout), this was our view while we were having a cup of tea. Sometimes when you see a place so much, like we do this park, you forgot how beautiful it really is. The flowers are so pretty and you get a strong scent when you walk past them that reminded me how lucky we are to have such a lovely area so near to where we live. I also got to chat away to a lovely lady, Sarah, who really was a diamond in the rough and is venturing out into a toy making business from our town. Her company is called ‘Plushie morphs’, which specialise in toys that can transform from one thing to another. We really love how innovative her products are so Ive shared the link to her website in case you wanted to check out her makes. This is one of them:

Cute isn’t it? and one design of many others (including a cat that turns into a superhero cat!)

Todays journal prompt is: “Think hard about your day.Tell us about one thing that you do every day”

I actually found it really difficult to think of something I do every single day that isn’t something everybody would do. By this I mean wake up, brush your teeth (if you are hygenic), eat… the usual things. The only thing I can think of that I do each day that isn’t something I believe everyone would do is test my blood glucose levels. In fact, I actually do this about 6-8 times a day. I was going to share a picture of going to sleep but me in pyjamas isn’t a very pretty sight and hopefully you all have a decent daily snooze pattern so it isn’t too unusual.

Woo! I finally got chance to share my G.O.T update that I should have shared days ago but have been wrapped up in other things. I originally didn’t want to backstitch the ages that appear on the design alongside some of the monarchs, but I know Id probably feel it unfinished if I didn’t do this so clearly from the photo, it was done. Its actually quite a nice touch really, I was just concerned it would look a bit odd as it was only on selected rulers rather than each one. Im very used to being proven wrong by the crafts I pursue now so my pride isn’t too dented hehe 🙂

  1. The age is particularly useful with monarchs where there is something unusual, like they didn’t reign all that long or were unusually young, as with Edward V. I like it and I think it works too. :o)

  2. Such a great post! I love the view photo! I would love to be able to see that so often! And your cross stitch is looking so good! Looks like you’ve got your work cut out for you with the back stitching, for sure! (o:
